'Love Me' by The 1975 - Track Review

Following the incredible success of their self-titled debut album back in September 2013, The 1975 appeared to have vanished from the music industry's radar.  Until last week, when they premiered the first single, 'Love Me', from their second album, 'I Like It When You Sleep for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It'. Bit of a mouthful. I was a huge fan of The 1975's first album, and have been looking forward to the release of some new material for a while.  And I must say that I'm somewhat disappointed. It may be that 'Love Me' is a 'grower' track but so far I don't like it.  The introduction features the use of squeaky and slightly grating electric guitars and the vocals seem a little all over the place. I don't think it actually sounds much like lead vocalist Matt Healy's voice, which may merely be a result of overproduction.   The lyrics focus around the concept of a 'fame whore' which is similar...
